"We`re working hard to get a strong start on Friday and capitalise on that throughout the series," he added.
Gayle said India would be determined to prove a point against his team at the Sabina Park tomorrow while the hosts would want to belt as many win as possible making it a tough and interesting series.
“It`s going to be a tough series but we`re excited about it and... want to... have fun and play some good cricket all around.”
"We`re really looking forward to it (series); it`s going to be an interesting series. We`ve just finished with the Twenty20 (Championship) and we`re now looking forward to this," Gayle said.
The Jamaican said his team is working hard to maintain a consistent winning record.
"There are always a lot of areas to work on in cricket; there`s always room for improvement. We want to get our game sorted out as quickly as possible. I`m sure we`ll get the job done," he said.
